Good morning all. Happy hump day!! Only one and half days to go before the long weekend...YIPPEE!!  I have big plans for the weekend-lots to do in my craft room as I am still preparing for the craft show in November.  Let's hope I sell this stuff -if not my Christmas shopping is done, hehe.

My card today is inspired by several things. First up is the sketch-it was provided by Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Mel alwasy has great sketches.  The 2nd inspiration comes from Moxie Fabworld with a photo inspiration.
I went with the teal, pink, and rose theme in the photos with this gorgeous dp from K&Co.
My colors are bit more subdued than those in the photo but I love the softness of this paper.  I also kept this card much simpler than my normal cards- no image.  This is the first thank you card in a set of 6 I am doing, again for the craft show.
All the dp is from K &Co. Card base is done in kraft from Stampin Up, as is the sentiment and ink. rose red.
The scalloped border cardstock and the scalloped circle cardstock are from an old Club Scrap kit.  I've had it for ages and it's hard to tell from the phote but one is a blue green and the other is very vintage looking with a bit of gold in it- very subdued.  My scalloped circle punch is from Stampin Up and the scalloped border is MS, finished off with cream ribbon.

Challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches: the sketch
Moxie FabWorld:  photo inspiration
Just Add Ink:  use dp

See you back here tomorrow!

Hello.  It is another scorcher her today so you know where I am, lol.  Too hot to venture outside- although I did make a quick trip to Michaels.

My card today is for a very special blog hop challenge for a little girl from New Hampshire.  Her name is Bella Tucker and she developed a very severe staph infection that resulted in the amputaion of all 4 limbs.  The challenge is to make a card for Bella. We want to flood her mail box with cards! For more information on the challenge and the address if you would like to mail Bella a card can be found here.  There will be a challenge held every Tuesday until July 13th and the grand prize will be awarded then- over $150 worth of stamping goodies!!

My card today was inspired by the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and my color scheme was inspired by the Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge which is monochromatic & wings.

My image was made especially for Bella and can be purchased at Sunshine & Giggles Stamps. All proceeds from the sale of this image are being donated to Bella's medical fund.

Challenges:
Fussy and Fancy Friday-monochromatic & wings (my butterfly)
FabNFunky: Sew & sew

Hope you will consider sending a card to Bella!!
Thanks!

Good afternoon...I finally have a card done!! I have been working on this one little by little.
I currently have an upper respiratory infection and muscle strain in my shoulder.  I can't get comfortable in bed and finally went to the walk in clinic this morning.  I was sure I had pneumonia with the pain. Not fun and now I am waiting for the clinic to fax in my prescriptions. Geez, 2 hours later and the store still has not received it.

My card was a request from a friend at work who wants a wedding card for her sister.  She wanted pinks and greens which aren't colors I normally work with, however, I found these beautiful papers at Michaels.
The sketch I followed is from this weeks Midnight Madness challenge.

Here's the sketch:
Here's my take on the sketch:
I've used 3 different dp although there isn't much contrast between the 2 triangular pieces.  The left triangle and the square piece are from the Jubilee collectin by K&Co. and I'm afraid I don't know who the rt triangular piece is by but it is pretty-greens and pinks.  I've separated the 2 triangles with this gorgeous ivory lace from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I love this store!! The roses and pearl stick pin are also from them.  My green fronds were made with a MS punch.  My digi rose is from Shelly's Images and is printed on ivory textured cardstock.  My sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and I embossed it in seafoam white.  It matches the white accents, which are raised rubber, on the dp perfectly.
Challenges:
A Spoon Full of Sugar:  good luck, best wishes- I think a wedding card qualifies

Thanks for visiting!

Good morning.  I have a quick little post for you.  It's way too hot to hang out in my room.  We're supposed to hit 100F today!!  It has been brutally hot here and there is no sign of a let up. My room is upstairs and it just doesn't get cool enough in this heat.  I WANT a 2nd unit, LOL.

My card today is for the Friday Sketchers sketch challenge and is featuring a brand new image from Sunshine & Giggles.  The line is called Out of Africa and will be available for purchase on Friday. The name of this little image is Lion Tamer.
Aren't they the cutest pair!  I just love that lion! My images were colored with prismacolor pencils.  All cardstock is by Stampin up and the dp is Basic Grey.  I used a MS punch and ribbon to accentuate.

Challenges:
Friday Sketchers:  provided this great sketch
Etsy Inspired: and my colors were inspired by this piece of jewelry found here
Thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there who are being neglected today cuz their wives are crafting, haha.  I asked my hubby what he wanted for dinner since it is his special day and he said he was going to grill- have at it!!   I just have to make a dessert-easy enough!

My card today is for a fun little challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The challenge is to make a step ladder card and they are much easier than they look.
I am also playing along with Paper Play and their challenge is to use something old. Well that was easy -I used scraps from my scrap drawer- red cardstock strips that I dotted with my cuttlebug, the dp which is from Cosmo Cricket, and the white applique for the icing.  I bought the applique last winter and today was only the 2nd time it's been used!
My cute little monkey image comes from Paper Addictions and you can get this little freebie here.  If you would like to play along with Tuesday Morning sketches Melissa has a link for instruction on the step ladder card.

See you tomorrow :)

Good evening all.  I wanted to share this e-mail I received from Erin Bailey. Most of you probably know Erin as the host of the challenge blog Stamp Something. She is hosting a series of 4 blog hops starting on June 22nd. The blog hops will run each Tuesday for 4 weeks. They are being held as a RAK for an 8 yr old girl in her community that suffered a very debilitating illness that has resulted in the loss of all 4 limbs. She is asking that cards be sent to Bella to boost her spirits. She is looking for hoppers, donations for blog candy and for people to spread the word. For further details you can visit Stamp Something Challenge blog. This is a beautiful little girl who has a very long road ahead of her. Let's flood her mail box with cards!

Sunshine & Giggles will be releasing a very special stamp on Saturday in honor of Bella. Sale proceeds will be donated to Bella's medical fund so mark your calendars for Saturday for the release of the Bella stamp.
To read more about Bella you can visit www.bellatucker.org.

Good morning.  I have a real quick post for you today as I am running late.  My card today was made using the sketch from this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge, with just a little variation- no sentiment on my card. My image comes from The Stamping Boutique- isn't she the cutest!!
And what about this ribbon! I just love the ribbon.  I mentioned in an earlier post I am using my old papers and came across these.  They are from Daisy D's and I love them. I sewed and then gave the edges just a little extra distressing.  My red gardenia is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Challenges:
Stamp With Fun: Fairy Tales
Stamping Boutique: their 1st challenge and of course my image is from them

Ok I am off....and late.

Good morning. Well I am off to work again...sigh.  I never get as much done as I would like on the weekends. The card I have made today is part of a gift set- a card & candle.
As I've mentioned before I am doing a craft show at work in November. So I am offering various items including candles.  One of my co-workers makes candles so she provided me with the candles and I am adding the images.  I am doing 20 candles in all in 2 different sizes.

The sketch I have used on todays card is from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I just loved this sketch and this is the 2nd card I've made using it- too late for the challenge but I entered the other card.  Today I am playing along with the challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar and their theme this week is Floral Delight.

Here is my floral delight in pretty fall colors.  I just love sunflowers and this image is from KLM DigiStamps.  If you look closely at my eyelets you can see they are also flowers.  They have been in my stash forever but went nicely with this paper & theme.  The distressing is a bit heavier than I would like but I had trouble applying - it just didn't want to sponge on.

Here is a pic of the card and candle together.  This candle smells great!! The scent is pumpkin pie spice.
I am very happy with the candle!! I love this image and sentiment and the colors turned out much more vivid than I thought they would.  The images were both colored with prismacolor pencils.  Both images and sentiment are from KLM.

 Thanks for stopping by!

Good afternoon ya'll.  Today I have a fun little card for you.  I am always in need of birthday cards for little boys so I whipped up this one and am getting in just under the wire for the challenge.  My card follows the sketch offered over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Melissa had provided another fun sketch!!

The challenge this week is being sponsored by Some Odd Girl and I have to admit I had not heard of them before.  They offer some really cute digital images and I have used the freebie Kody for my card.  This has a great summer feel to it and he is so cute! I will definitely be back for more of their summer cuties.

What little boy wouldn't love this dude!  I just love the eyes on these kids..too cute.

I have colored Kody with my prismacolor pencils. All cardstock is from Stampin Up and I'm afraid I can't tell you who the dp is by- I'm trying to use up my scraps and there was no name remaining.  My 3d bubbles are by Reminisce.

Challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches:  provided the sketch
Stampin for the weekend: summer/travel theme
ABC Challenge: this weeks challenge is W- for weather.

Join me tomorrow for another card made with this same sketch but a very different look.

Good Evening....Well I got through the day and now I have just one more week of long hours at work.  Working Saturday really shortens that weekend! I did manage to get 1 card made today.

I have another black & gold card for you today.  I think I have a new favorite in the paper line, haha.
Today I am using a beautiful digital image from Sugar Creek Hollow.  Tracy has some beautiful vintage images on her site.  If you like this image you can get it over at Crafters Digital Art Center.  If you have never been to this site it would be well worth your time to pay it a visit.  Priscilla ( from Midnight Madness) and her team have done a wonderful job putting together this site.  If you love digital images then it is definitely the place to be- there are currently 35 group members all offering digital images.

Ok back to the card.  My card is for this weeks MOJO Monday challenge.  This was a great sketch and worked so well with my image.

Good morning! Today I am inviting you all to a garden party.  My card today was inspired by a photo provided by Cath for this weeks Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World.  I love this table setting!!
The colors are so brilliant and cheery.  So todays card was first inspired by the beautiful colors and then I found this great sketch over on Fussy &Fancy Challenges.  I decided I would keep with the theme of the photo and also make my card a wedding card.  I also decided to forgo dp-gasp!  I seldom make a card without dp but I am quite pleased with the results.
All my stamps are from the wedding set from Inkadinkado. All cardstock is from Stampin Up and I used my Stampin Up markers on the stamps, keeping the color scheme of pink & orange.   I used my cuttlebug dots folder on the white "table cloth" and my floral accent is a MS punch.  My pretty little roses are in pink, orange, green and yellow and are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I absolutely love that site!!

I'll be back tomorrow with some more fabulous flowers.

Good afternoon!  After what seems like forever I am back.   School is out and summer has finally arrived!  We spent the weekend cleaning- inside and out.

Friday afternoon I received a wonderful package in the mail from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I recently won a challenge they sponsored and the prize was fabulous!! I will be sharing some of my winnings over the next few days on my cards.  If you have never shopped with them you really should.  I purchased from them a few months back and I had my order in 1 week!! Not bad for having to come across the pond.

Todays card is for the sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. They provided this awesome sketch:
I just loved this paper when I spotted it in the store.  It's by Kaiser Crafts and I used the reverse side for my "stitched" piece and the accent piece at the bottom.  All card stock is by Stampin Up, as is the stamps.  This stamps are from the Vintage Vogue set.  I used dark chocolate brown pigment ink and distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.

Thanks for stopping by-hope to see you tomorrow:)
