Good morning! Well we survived the weekend, haha.  We had our first tornado warnings of the season on Saturday.  We had a pretty severe thunderstorm, lots of lightening and rain but fortunately no tornados.  I've been in TN 15 years and have yet to see a tornado and you become pretty complacent about the warnings- until last year.  Our city suffered some pretty severe damage from a tornado that swept a 26 mile path across the city but fortunately it avoided our area- by 1 mile!  I now listen very attently to the warnings.

I have my first joy fold card for you today. Yes my first- I've seen them everywhere and finally tried one.  They are very time consuming but I love the look.  My image today is from Mo's Digital Pencil and my sketch comes from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #50.

My sentiment was a gift from Melissa for winning the top 5 at Tuesday Morning Sketches and is a perfect fit for this little image.  Little boys love to explore and I've centered my embillishments around that theme.
Here is the inside of my card:

My image on the inside of the card is a little hard to see but if you click on the picture you can enlarge it.  This image comes from Bugaboo Stamps and is a new favorite of mine.  I love this poor little lady bug captured in a jar, lol.

Challenges:
Midnight Madness:  provided the sketch
Stamp Something: add a charm to your creation
One Stop Craft Challenge: metallic (my charm & chain-though the chain is hard to see in photo)
No Time to Stamp:  joy fold card
Sew Many Cards:  Anything goes

Whew! I think that is a record for me- 1 card covering 7 challenges!!
Well  I am off to work- have a great day.

Happy Friday!!! Yippee. We have no plans this weekend but that's ok.  I'm just glad the weekend finally got here.  Jordan is all excited for today at school because it's disco day.  They are having a disco dance in the cafeteria after lunch.  He was practicing his best John Travolta moves last night...too funny.  He wants to be the last won standing because they win a prize.  First grade- what fun.

Good Morning...I am finally back!!  I don't know where the last week went.  I purchased 6 more jetmax cubes last weekend, got them all assembled and loaded up and now I am much more organized!!  Still have a few more pieces I want to get before I can call my room done but I blew the budget for this month, lol.
It's amazing what you find when you clean, too.  I don't need to purchase another brad for years!! I have them in every color & shape imaginable. DP is totally out of control too.

Todays card covers several challenges that I will list at the end of my post.  This was a fun little card to put together and I'm quite pleased with the outcome.  I've used the sketch from this weeks Mojo Monday challenge.

Good Morning!  I have just a real quick post as I am running behind.  I was asked by a friend at work to make a sympathy card.  The only stipulation she had was to use my black roses on it somewhere.

So I have made a card with corresponding box ( these roses are bulky!!) using this weeks sketch from
Mojo Monday.  This card actually has no stamp in it- just the computer generated text.  I found some really nice sympathy sets when viewing cards on SCS and I think I will have to purchase a few.

Aren't these black roses beautiful! I just love them. They can be purchased at Wild Orchid Crafts.

Supplies Used
Stampin Up cardstock
DP- Paris Nights by GCD Studios ( this was a huge paper pad-gorgeous)
Cuttlebug
Ribbon
Pearls
Nesties

Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning.  I hope your week is off to a great start.  I'm counting down the days until Friday, already!! haha.  It's payday and I am picking up the rest of my cubes to finish my unit. Big bonus- Michael's has them at a whopping 50% off this week!!

Normally, this would be Sunshine Monday but, sadly,  the design team has finished their term and we are taking a bit of a hiatus. With that said, I decided to use a Sunshine & Giggles image anyhow.  I chose it to go along with a challenge over at Split Coast Stampers- IC 227, which is to make a card based on your home state.  I am a transplant to Tennessee and live just outside Nashville, or as it is fondly referred as Music City. Country music, of course.  So today I am using an image of Tess & Quest.  What is more country than a fiddle and a howling blood hound, lol.

My card is for several challenges that I will list at the end of my post and the fabulous sketch was provided by Fussy & Fancy Challenges
Supplies:  all paper is Stampin Up, roses are prima,  image is from Sunshine & Giggles Stamps and colored with copics, ribbon, Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans, MS scalloped lace punch. Ok now on to the challenges:
Fuzzy & Fancy- provided the sketch
Stamp Something:- stitching- real or faux, I chose real
Totally PaperCrafts- distressing
Practical Scrappers- markers
One Stitch at a Time-distressing

Enjoy your day!!

Good Sunday morning to you all! Hope your weekend is going well.  The sun is shining and nothing but blue sky this morning.  I love spring, my tulips are in bloom and my trees but my sinuses are suffering!  Yesterday was such a wasted day.  I was downright lethargic but I did manage to get one card made.

Todays card is covering 2 challenges- 1st is Tuesday Morning Sketches which provided this fun sketch:

The 2nd challenge is called Picking Up the Pieces and can be found at Moxie's FabWorld.  I knew exactly what image I wanted to paper piece when I saw this challenge. This is a nice This is a nice sunny card to go along with a beautiful spring day.

Happy Friday!! I thought it would never get here, lol.  Hope your week went well.  I plan on spending my weekend in my room.  Still have organizing and cleaning to do.  The boys have cubscouts Sunday afternoon, getting ready for their big camping trip. It will be nice and quiet.  Very conducive to a good afternoon in my room.

My card today is all about bling, haha. I am playing this weeks Etsy Inspired challenge and my card was inspired by this piece of jewelry. I love this!

You can see this piece and a lot more at Until it Ends Studios.

I wish I had embossed the front of my cardstock. It looks a little flat. My medallion is a Basic Grey bling that I rubbed on white card stock.  I softened the starkness of the white with black chalk. My cardstock is Stampin Up and the striped dp is by Little Yellow Bicycle and the damask dp is by Recollections.
I've used the sketch from this weeks Mojo Monday.

Enjoy your day!

Good Morning!  It seems like such a long time since I've been able to sit down and craft.  I was off all last week and got alot of cleaning done.  I painted my craft room and what a chore that was.  Wait until you see the colors- love them! It didn't take long to move everything out but I still don't have it all back together.
I don't know what your organizational skills are like but my room was a mess!! It took me forever to find anything.  So after some research I decided to go with the jetmax cubes they have at Michaels.  I love them!! I still want to pick up 6 more but it will have to wait until next week and then I should be super organized!

Ok on to today's card.  While cleaning I found a poem I had cut out of the newspaper quite a few years ago.  At the time I thought I would use it on a scrapbook layout (never did) but thought it was very fitting for my card.  Today's card is for a baby shower for a former co-worker.  I am using the sketch from this week's Midnight Madness.

Pretty simple design for a midnight madness sketch and I am really pleased with the outcome.

I decided to keep it monochromatic and love the outcome.  My sweet little image is from KLM Digistamps and was done in blue ink along with the poem.  I love this image because it looks great colored or not.  Kim is having a boy, hence all the blue.  I'm not a big fan of the traditional pastels but think this is perfect for a boy baby.
Supplies Used:
Navy cardstock from Stampin Up, blue speckled cardstock form Club Scrap,
DP-Little Yellow Bicycle
Ribbon and bow easy
Charm- Making Memories

Challenges:
Stampin for the Weekend:  Ribbons & Bows
Cute Card Thursday: Mono- shades of just one color

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully my posting will now be back on track.
