Good morning everyone! Hope your Monday is off to a great start. I have 2 cards for you today...surprised aren't you, lol. Today of course is Sunshine Monday! The day the design team for Sunshine & Giggles shares their talents. This will be our last Monday for awhile but we will be back in October with a brand new line- 10 stamps in all!! Can't wait to see the new designs.

My card today is not only for SAG but is also a sketch challenge for this weeks Sketch Saturday. As always they provided an awesome sketch. Here is my take on this weeks sketch.

My pretty little girl in her red dress normally carries a bouquet of flowers in her skirt but I omitted for this card. I used my nestibilites label 4 for image and sentiment and the sentiment is shadowed in black with a stampin up punch-perfect size for my littlest nestie. My flower centers were made with a cirlce punch in the same dp used in the card. I don't know who it is by but I love the cream and black together. This card actually also covers a 3rd challenge but I decided to make another card for that challenge.
The challenge is for Copic Creations which was to color in red or pink. It also mentioned hearts but, oops, no hearts on my cards.
This is a little hard to view but if you click on the image it will enlarge it. The beauty of digital is you can resize the image and this image is small!! LOL. Look much better in person. This is Mummu from Mo's Digital Pencil and I just love her!! I had originally colored her quilt red and grey, to match the quilt work pattern of my dp, but with her red dress it was just too much red.
I did faux stitching to outline my quilt and added the red gingham ribbon. My brads were a the perfect touch to my dp-a perfect match.

Well that is all for today. Be sure to visit Sunshines dt members to see their work. Tenia Melissa Nicole Jennifer

Good morning everyone! I have quite an accomplishment to share with you. Today I have my first card completed with sewing on it!!! LOL. My husband bought me a sewing machine2 years ago for Christmas and I spent forever trying to figure out how to thread it! Then I practiced sewing on paper and everthing I did wound up in the trash. So I just gave up on it and my poor little sewing machine sat in the closet. Well recently I took up sewing, this time on fabric, again, for the first time, and decided last night I would try again and make it work. Finally, I have success!!

I guess I should have opted for that sewing elective in school, but, no not me. I had to prove what a liberal I was and took wood shop instead, after all. it was the first year they "allowed" girls in the class. hehe

Ok back to my card. It covers 2 challenges this week, Friday Sketchers provided the sketch, and what a great sketch it is! Lots of layers! Stampin for the Weekend provided the color challenge, Pink & Grey!! I love pink and grey together.

Card Supplies: Pink & grey cardstock by Bazzill, All dp by The Paper Studio, ribbon, and my little kitten with her ball of yarn is a digital from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I actually kept with the pink & grey theme and used a very pale pink cardstock for my image.

That's it for today. Enjoy your day.

Hello. This is going to be a real quick post. I am off to work and am working overtime every night this week and going in on Saturday..yuck. Oh well, the overtime will be nice but it will be a hectic week. After dinner and helping with homework it's almost bedtime.

My card today is for a challenge I've just discovered- Basic Grey Challenges. I love the basic grey line of papers. This weeks challenge was a color combo-brown, pink and yellow. Wasn't too sure about the yellow but it turned out well.

I decided to keep it very simple-sometimes less really is best, lol. The sentiment stamp is one I have had forever. I stamped the sentiment in walnut ink and used my nestie label 4 and inked up the edges. All card stock is by stampin up, and, of course, the dp is basic grey.

Thanks for taking a peek and have a great day!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another edition of Sunshine Monday. Today is the day Sunshine and Giggles Stamps designers share their creations. My card today was thrown together rather quickly and I think it is the first time I have used no dp! I did design my own dp using the internet & word- a little trick I learned from Nicole.

School is back in session and the birthday party thing is starting up again so I made a birthday card. Being we live in TN everyone is a Titan's fan (excluding my husband-non native Tennessean and die-hard steeler fan). I think any little titan fan will like this card. It is also pulling double duty as both a sketch challenge for Splitcoast Stampers and a birthday card challenge for Stamp Something.

I copied the Titan logo into word and created my own sheet of dp and the birthday sentiment is also computer generated. My little football player is from Sunshine and Giggles and is called
Future Hall of Famer. Be sure to check on the dt's blog very their creations. Nicole Melissa Jennifer and Tenia.
Hope you all have a great day!

Good afternoon everyone! It seems so long since I've posted anything. Jordan is on the mend after a bout of mild pneumonia but he missed 3 days of school this week and Imissed 2 days of work-Greg took 1 day. But things are now back to normal and I have a challenge completed. Yippee!

Todays card is for Melissa's challenge blog-Tuesday Morning Sketches and it is another great sketch. I am very pleased with todays card. I purchased a couple of digies yesterday and I love them. I still prefer rubber but I couldn't resist these. My image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and I think she is just so cute!

There was alotta coloring in this one but I am pleased with the outcome. I made this for a birthday card. It's titled Domestic Goddess and on the inside it reads "Happy Birthday from one goddess to another".

My mother picked me up a package of mini clothespins a few years ago and I found them in my stash. I've finally found a use for them, lol.

Supplies used: All cardstock and dp by Stampin up. Brad flowers are Spare Parts by the Paper Studio, ribbon and of course, colored with my copics. The sentiment was computer generated.

Well enjoy the rest of your day. I am off to start dinner....ahh the life of a domestic goddess, hehe.

Good morning everyone! I home today with a sick child so I'm hoping to get alot of play time in before our afternoon doctor appointment. My poor little guy has allergies and this heat and the ragweed have taken it's toll. He is pretty wheezy today.

I have 1 card today to cover 3 challenges and of course to cover Sunshine Monday, which of course means my card was made with an image from Sunshine and Giggles! And what a perfect challenge I have found to use my little Beach Bound stamp. Cute Card Thursday's challenge is to make a beach themed card!! Over at Stamp Something the challenge was to make something representing what you did this summer. We went to Virginia Beach this summer and it was Jordan's first trip to the ocean- he had a ball!

I have used the sketch (challenge 2) from this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge. As always, they have provided a great sketch.

I have used 2 images on my card and they really compliment each other and just bring out that great beach feel, hehe. My beach scene is from Whimsie Doodles and my little beach boy, from Sunshine & Giggles, is all equiped with his swim goggles and pail.

I'm ready to head to the beach!

Supplies: Cardstock is Stampin Up, DP and coordinating flowers is from the line Chloe's Closet by Making Memories. I used my cricut to cut my ovals and my sentiment is computer generated.

Well I'm off to check out some more challenges. Hope you have a great Monday.

Good day everyone.....well yesterday was another scorcher! I'm starting to sound like my mother when I say I just can't take this heat anymore! I'm ringing wet before I get into the office...and it is a short walk from the parking lot to the door, lol.

I had such fun creating today's card. I love lots of layers and this sketch provided lots. My card is for this weeks Mojo Monday. Can you believe it!! It's only Tuesday and I have a Monday sketch done. My mojo is in over drive this week, hehe.

I stopped by Michaels after work today and found this great dp by SEI. I knew immediately I would use it for this sketch.

It so pretty and rich-although the camera didn't capture the true colors so well. It did however capture a little faux pas- a tiny bit of glue on my nestie frame..oops.

I didn't photo the inside but I duplicated the front and the message on the inside reads Happy Anniversary.
Supplies used- bazzil cardstock, dp- SEI, stamps-inkadinkadoo, Martha Stewart scalloped lace punch, ribbon, and button. The sentiment was stamped using SU Close to Cocoa.
Well hope everyone has a great day....stay cool!

Happy Monday...off to another week! But a short week as I am off Friday. Yeah!! Can't wait. I decided I needed a mental health day this week just to putter around the house....ie scrap!

I have one card for you today that covers 2 challenges. The first is Split Coast Stampers sketch challenge 240. This was a really fun sketch.

The 2nd challenge, which I really thouhgt was going to be more of a challenge then it was, is for this weeks Color Throwdown. When I first heard the color choices I thought there was no way they would look good together but I must say I am quite pleased with the outcome. Who knew, lol!

I was able to incorporate all 4 colors in my card stock and found some dp that I think really goes well with these shades.

I used the blush blossom for both the base of the card and also to print my image rather than using stark white. My circle is embossed with my swirls cuttlebug and is the one piece of pumpkin pie in my card. I used one strip of really rust for the cross strip. It is actually a pretty close match to my dp, although it doesn't look it in the photo.

My little image is a digital stamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. Thought it was the perfect fall look for this dp. I colored the image, to match my paper choices, with my Stampin Up pencils. My brads are from Foof-a-La.
Hope you all have a great week!

Sunday, August 9, 2009

I'm finally back after a gruelling week! I spent the majority of the day in bed yesterday with a migraine. The heat here this week has been absolutely oppressive and my sinuses are killing me. But at last I was able to get a card or 2 done today.

Today's card is for the Mojo Monday challenge and they provided a great sketch.

I love all the layers in this sketch and found the perfect paper in my stash. This is one of my favorite color combos- brown & blue. My little Musing Melinda stamp from Whiff of Joy was the perfect fit.

Supplies: Cardstock-American Crafts, DP- The Paper Studio, Nestabilities-scalloped circles,
stamp-whiff of joy, ribbon-Martha Stewart, gemstones, and copics to color.
Hope everyone has a great day. See you all tomorrow.

This is a real quick post-I'm at work. I have no card to post today due to computer problems. I just received a call from my husband and the repair tech is at the house now so I should be up and running again tonight! I can't believe how lost I am without my computer.

I will post my Sunshine Monday card for you all tomorrow.
