Good morning! Well it's back to work today:( Play time is over. From looking at this house I should have spent yesterday cleaning instead of playing! LOL. It was nice to have the day and house to myself, though.

Today's card was for two challenges. First the sketch challenge at Midnight Madness and the 2nd was a challenge at Cupcake Craft, distressing. This is my first time participating in the Midnight Madness challenge. I don't know why, but I usually find them imtimidating! I was able to pull it off this week, and quite nicely I think...can I say that, hehe. I love how this card turned out. I always love the distressed look. Lots of layers on this one and I love the digital stamp I found at KLM Digital Designs.

Supplies used: Stampin Up Cardstock, DP is Daisy D's, Creative Imaginations and Reminisce-all in my stash since last year. Stamps-klm digital designs, boo-Stampin Up. I colored the image with my copics and sponged using SU pumkin, Memento tuxedo black, and Tim Holtz vintage photo. My black cat is also from my stash from last year and is a stick on -no idea who it's by.

I just love making halloween cards-so much fun and this is my first one of the season. I think I might use for a birthday card....I have a friend who's birthday is on halloween.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Afternoon everyone! Hope you are enjoying your Tuesday. I decided to take a vacation day today. For the last month we have had to put in overtime at work and I am pooped! So I took a little vacation today in my scrap room!

Todays card is for today's Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge. Yes I am really posting a challenge on the actual day!!! LOL. This was a quick, little card. I went very simplistic for this one- no dp but used a cuttlebug folder to emboss instead.

This is Thelma and she is from dzdoodles.com. Isn't she cute! She's all ready to start her day with her cup of joe. I just love her smiley face coffee cup. The photo is not the best-very dark and dreery today. If you click on the image to enlarge you can see all her detail-right down to her pink foam hair curlers! You will also see the poor job she did of putting on her lipstick this morning...hehe. (I had a little problem with bleeding)

I just discovered dz doodles today and they have some really cute images.

All cardstock is stampin up. My image was colored with copics and the sentiment is computer generated. Added a little ribbon and a couple of buttons for a few little embellies and there you have it.

Well I'm off to pick up Jordan at school. He will be thrilled to be going home early!

See you tomorrow!

Yeah!! I am finally back! Everytime I say I am going to post more often life get's in the way, lol. Greg (my dh) spent Wednesday-Friday in the hospital. He has high blood pressure that they are having a very hard time getting under control. We seem to have it under control now...let's hope it lasts. So putting last week behind me I am ready to play again!

Today's card took me forever to complete....no wonder I only post a few times a week! But I am very happy with the outcome and I managed to cover 5 challenges. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, my favorite paper, at the moment, for the challenge at Stamp Something, embossing, and basic grey paper for the challenge at basic grey challenges, bermuda bay (actually the closest thing I could find to it), green galore and barely banana cardstock for the color throwdown challenge, and last but not least, the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Tuesday Morning's challenge was the most challenging, hehe. This week they asked to make the focus of your card on the ribbon I think I've done that! I used my ribbon to make flowers and used white (colored willow green with my copic marker) ric-rac for the stems.

The embossing for the basic grey challenge is a little hard to see in this photo. We are on either day 5, or is it 6, of overcast, rainy skies so my photos aren't the best. I used my flower folder for the barely banana cardstock, and dots for the green galore oval frame. The dp is, of course, Basic Grey, from the lemonade collection.

My sweet little fairy blowing bubbles is from Mo's Digital Pencil. I used my cricut to cut out my flower base gemstone brads for the flower centers. I used a fiskars scalloped punch for the borders. I add gold stickles to her wings to give it a little glimmer. There you have it- 5 challenges covered!!

I'd also like to add a quick little note- The Christmas/Winter line of stamps at Sunshine & Giggles should be in any day now. Remember you have until Oct. 15 to get the whole line at 1/2 price!! Also, Sunshine & Giggles is donating $2.00 for every stamp ordered until Oct. 30 to the Paige Welch Medical Fund. You can find all the details on the site.

Well enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!

Good morning all! I cannot believe how fast this month is zipping by! Next week is the last week of the 1st marking period for Jordan- already! I still can't get used to the year round school idea. Jordan lost another tooth today- 2nd one this week! I told him I wasn't sure if the tooth fairy was still in the area for this tooth, hehe. He is sure she will be by tonight and has already stuck his tooth under his pillow.

I have a special little card to share with you today. It's a little sneak peak of one of the stamps from the new line at Sunshine and Giggles. This little cutie comes with her own personal sentiment too. This is the card I made for Paige. For those of you who don't know, Paige is a 13yr old girl from NH who lost her arm in a boating accident. Erin from Scrap, Stamp and Be Merry has issued a card challenge and would like to see Paige get 100 cards. She also has blog candy up for grabs if you send a card. You can find all the details on her blog.
My card also is for this weeks challenge at Mojo Mondays. They always provide the best sketches!

Isn't she adorable! I think she is so appropriate for the situation. We all need a little guardian angel to get us through the hard times.
I used 2 lines from the Alabama song Angels Among Us for the inside of the card. I LOVE that song.
Oh I think there are angels among us.
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.

Image is colored with my copics and I used stickles on her halo and wings. The card stock is all Stampin Up. Sorry, I can't tell you who the dp is by- in my stash for some time. My heart and corner embellies on inside of card are chipboard buttons I received from Mel at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I just love them! They went perfectly with this dp. Thanks, Mel!!

Be sure to go check out the new line at Sunshine and Giggles. We're donating $2.00 for every stamp sold between now and October 31st to Paige's medical fund. Also, for a short time, you can purchase the whole line- 10 stamps in all - for 1/2 the price of buying them individually!

See you back here tomorrow!

Good morning everyone. It has been a long absence from posting I'm afraid. I hate end of quarter at work...things get a little crazy. I feel like a live there. I have also been very busy on a different front and it has been much more fun!! Sunshine and Giggles has pre-released the new Christmas/Winter line. The new line introduces SAG'snew illustrator, Nicole Brekelbaum. She is a children's book illustrator and her work is wonderful!!

SAG is also trying to help the family of Paige Welch. Paige is a 13yr old girl that was injured in a serious boating accident and had to have part of her arm amputated. She is still in the hospital and they are fighting to save the remainder of her arm. Erin, a fellow blogger, and Paige's neighbor, has started a card drive for her and is offering some very nice candy. Please visit Erin's blog for all the details at Scrap, Stamp and Be Merry.

Sunshine and Giggles will be donating to Paige's Medical fund and to do that we need your help.
SAG will donate $2 for every stamp sold between now and October 31, 2009. In addition to the pre-release of the new line Sunshine is offering the whole line - all 10 stamps for the flat rate of $40.00. That is half off if you were to buy each stamp individually!! That also means that $20 of that will go directly to Paige! Please visit Sunshine and Giggles and check out the new line- it really is adorable!

I will be back tomorrow with the card I made for Paige- running out the door to work.
